Udan Express is a Nepal-wide and international delivery company — courier, cash on delivery, cargo and cross-border shipping. Lacspace designed and built the whole platform: the customer-facing website, the merchant dashboard, the developer API and the offline-first rider apps that move a parcel from booking to doorstep, from Kathmandu to anywhere.
The scope
Nationwide + global network — all 77 districts across all seven provinces, and 220+ countries through overseas gateways, on one tracking number the whole way.
Honest, plain-language tracking — every scan surfaced in plain words over SMS and web, a promise date set at booking, and failed attempts shown with the reason.
Cash on delivery, settled weekly — collect at the door and settle on a fixed cycle, backed by an append-only ledger reconciled per rider and per branch.
Transparent pricing — a rate calculator by weight and district that shows the full breakdown (base, weight, surcharges, discount, VAT) before you confirm.
What we built
Merchant dashboard — bulk booking, CSV upload, labels, returns and analytics for e-commerce sellers.
Developer platform — a versioned REST API with webhooks, idempotency and a sandbox, plus WooCommerce, Magento and Zapier integrations.
Rider apps — offline-first mobile apps with route navigation, call-before-arrival and photo proof of delivery.
Services engine — express and same-day, overnight nationwide, cargo & freight by the kilogram, international door-to-door with customs, warehousing & 3PL, fragile handling, reverse pickups, and declared-value insurance & claims.
