LacspaceOS is a real desktop that runs in your browser — windows you drag and snap, a Dock, Spotlight, a filesystem, a terminal. Sign in once and every Lacspace product is already installed.

Everything below is built and working today — the shell first, because a desktop that doesn't feel like a desktop is just a website with extra steps.
Drag, resize from eight edges, snap to halves and quarters, maximise, minimise, stack by focus. Geometry is written straight to the compositor, so it holds 60fps.
⌘K opens a launcher over every app and action. The whole shell is reachable from the keyboard — ⌘W, ⌘M, ⌃⌘F, ⌘`, ⌃⌘←/→.
A magnifying Dock with running indicators, and a menu bar owned by whichever app has focus — the Apple grammar, in Lacspace colours.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, screen mirroring, brightness and sound, accent colour and wallpaper — one panel, one click from the menu bar.
A real tree with folders, breadcrumbs and places. It moves onto S3 without the interface changing a line.
ls, open, ps, whoami, date, uname — reading live OS state, not a canned transcript. ps lists your actual windows.
The clock, the calendar and the Notification Centre all carry BS alongside Gregorian. No mainstream OS does this.
⌃⌘Q locks the machine. Passkey and biometric unlock arrive with the backend phase.
Below 768px it isn't a shrunken desktop — it's a home screen with a paged app grid, a frosted dock and an app switcher.
A new machine is not empty and there is no setup wizard. The way Windows ships with Edge and Android ships with Play, LacspaceOS ships with all eighteen.
The web version ships first and has to be excellent. It is built so the installable one is a conversion, not a rewrite.
LacspaceOS runs on @lacspace/* — the same open packages any developer can install from npm. The window state, the ⌘K shortcuts, the theming, the IDs, the Bikram Sambat clock: all of it is our own published code, in production, in an operating system.
